The book is a right mix of a sleeping beauty meets black mirror retelling, and that is so spot on because it gave off that vibe. It is so creepy, and I loved the tone of the book. There are so many small details that gave me actual chills. It’s a page-turner and so realistic.

Sadie by Courtney Summers

I’ve finished my reread of Sadie and it is still one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to in a long time! This time around, I combined listening to the audiobook with ‘physically’ reading along on my eReader.

My 5-star rating remains as solid as it was the first time around. This has to be one of the most gut-wrenching, hard-hitting books I have ever read and I think this will be one of those stories, I’ll want to keep reading for a long time. Read more

After reading this synopsis, I just knew I wanted to read this book as soon as it came out. I pre-ordered this one on the 23rd July, with a release date of September 10th. Seeing as it needed to be shipped to the Netherlands from the UK, I had to wait until September 15th, before I finally had the book in my hands.

King’s magic is in his characters, and this one is no exception. The story mainly revolves around Luke Ellis, a twelve-year-old with a brain the size of New York and an institution where more children are being kept than one can imagine with a classic Stephen King twist. ⁣
