A new year has begun and that also means that I’ll be planning my reading for the year (sort of…). One of the things I love is participating in readathons. I won’t be able to take part in all the readathons out there (who would…), but I will be following along a few in 2020. This post will be all about the readathons I will be joining this year and I already can’t wait for them to start!
Keeping up a solid reading habit can be tough. Luckily, readathons allow book lovers from all walks of life (and interests!) to get back on track by making their favourite pastime fun and energising again. The best part? You’ll be turning the pages along with many others and it’s also a nice boost for your Goodreads Reading Challenge.
I have decided on the following readathons for this year. Polarthon will be a first for me this year and the same goes for Basically Britt’s 24H readathon. Last year, I haven’t been able to do a 24H readathon, but it will be a goal for this year to participate in at least one (now let’s hope they will be held when I can actually join, haha)!
The O.W.L.’s, N.E.W.T’s and the Winter Magical Readathon are recurring for the 3rd year in a row now and the setup of these is getting better and better every year. I really don’t know where G is pulling all her ideas from, to be honest.
The Bookie Trials will be held for the 2nd year and I can only imagine that they will be bigger and better than last year’s. I love the fact that these last few readathons are a whole month long, as it is (at least for me), so much easier to finish all the prompts.

- O.W.L’s Magical Readathon (April)
- N.E.W.T.s Magical Readathon (August)
